I've been meaning to get this since I do have "Tank Warfare On Iwo Jima", the two will pretty much go together.

I'm always excited to see books and kits covering WWII and pre-war Japanese tanks. Honestly I don't know that there really is much information regarding the performance of Japanese guns from this period.
I was wondering how much information there is in this book regarding Manchuria? Is there any reference comparing the performance of Japanese tanks to that of Russian tanks?

Almost non-existent. If you want info on Manchuria, you want the 5th volume of the AJ Press Japanese tanks series. It covers only that area and has a tremendous amount of information.
