I'm building the T-34/85 in 1/16 and am ready for paint what is the best out of the bottle color for it? The Model master looks a little off to me.

Hi,
Russian green has always been a subject of debate, but many modelers including myself use Tamiya NATO green.

Hi
From the few examples I have seen 4BO green looks very close to the Olive Drab used by the USA on their late war tanks or even the Khaki Green used by UK forces olso in the later part of the war.
One thing is imortant to remember is that Russian Paint was not of a very good quality so its color changes quite a bit from the moment it leaves the factory, which might mean that just about any dark green may be sutable.
White Ensign, Model Master, Xtracolor and vallejo all do a dedicated Russian Green but I would personaly go with the Olive Drabs from Tamiya, White Ensign, Xtracolor or the new one from Humbrol #155.

Yes,I agree with Paul, it was close to US olive drab, although the OD is a little bit too dark
I think that also Tamiya xf65 could be suitable but also this paint should be lighten
Valleyo Russian green is good for tanks of the '50 ,'60 and '70 (t-55, t-62, t-72 and so on)
Cheers
