This project took around three years to finish. The vehicle was finished about 2 years ago and it took me that long to finish the slat. I would build a panel then put it away.....it was a lot of work!
This is only the second Stryker I have seen in person with the slat so I am proud of it for that reason alone.

Jim,
you can get a closer look at Cory's work here in a couple weeks as I am bringing it up to AMPS for him. Since he posted these pictures, I can't enter it as my work.

Very nice. I gave up on my slat, at least temporarily. I hope mine can come out this good. I would recommend that you put on an exhuast deflector though. The exhaust is actually just the small part towards the front. The rest is air intake, so would not be blackened. But maybe that is just shadowing? It appears the other intake is the same dark color too.

Although I dont build much modern armor, anyone who completes this slat armor and make it look this good, gets my respect!! Very cool model.

Thanks for all the replies. The slat armor was from Eduard. It fit, mostly. It could have been my fault, probably was, but I had to add spacers to the front section to make it attach to the vehicle. It was a daunting task, and now that it is finished, I don't plan on doing another full slat kit any time soon.
And John, why do you think I posted these pics, just to keep you honest!

The other screens are blackened but I can remove that with a wet cotton swab fairly easily I believe, thanks!
