What is the most appropriate aftermarket turret for a Finnish T-72? What are the differences between the Blast, JS Model and Miniarm sets?
Is the bulge behind the mantlet present in the Soviet's T-72?

Thank you for help,

If you don't need the hatches open, the JS Models one is good too. You can still get it at the Kuivalainen web store.

Like Jim said: kuivalainen store and get the JS Models one. It is basically a T-71M1 turret with the finnish fittings. I`ve seen them there in the flesh this weekend and was stupid enough not to buy one: they looked very nice if you can live with closed hatches.

..at least I walked out of there with trackstory No.2

I went to that site and found the Finnish T-72 bin. Unfortunately shipping on a 4 Euro item is 20 Euros to the US

Thanks very much for all your replies. It seems that I will have to save for two sets to make the shipping worthwhile.

Scott, I realize that this reply is two years old from when you posted it, but do you still have the JS stowage box for the Finnish T-72?

Hi Guys;

Be Aware that the JS turret is not Hollow like the others, so its going too be Very Heavy But the Quality is Superb. When I built my Finnish T-72 and after I had it all done it fell off because of the Weight, and you know what happened next. Now you can use A Dremmel and Hollow out the Inside too cut the weight down, which I Recommend. The other Turrets are very nice also, but the Blast Turret will be Hard too get. My advice would be too try and get the Miniarm turret, and Whitecat Hobbies is the Best Source.

CHEERS; MIKE.
