On the bench is this great model from Meng of a strange vehicle. A friend of mine and a moderator on another forum build the actual model and I am painting it for him.
This model/kit was build and reviewed by James Bella right here on armorama. I've been givin the pleasure of painting this model, the scratchmod way of course.

You can see another review of this kit on MSC.

I won't go too much into the how-to of the painting as this is being painted for another project I have going. I'll post pics of the progress as it progresses.
Thanks for looking and don't forget to check out the two great reviews from James.

Wow Rob, simply incredible...exactly what this kit cries out for with the salvaged parts and all those beautiful angles! I checked out your blog on MSC to check on the layer-on-layer effect, can't wait to see more (and hopefully a how-to) in the other project

James thanks dude. Little bits at a time but will get to the end some time soon. The actual weathering is what will bring it to life.

As always, any and all comments are most welcome.

Hmmm, I guess this isn't a very popular subject
Regardless, your painting of this beast (which is a subject I find very interesting) is absolutely stunning...I'd say your best to date. For the life of me I can't remember my log in for MSC although I've been checking the progress out. Very cool watching it come to life with each step.
Keep up the great work Rob!

terrific work. I like the vehicle-I have the RPM one in the stash. I've seen a lot of finishes from camoufalge to overall red priimer but I really like the mix of finishes on your build it gives it extra bulk and depth

Rob, you've turned this beast into a work of art! I've been following along and will look forward to seeing how it was done. Outstanding work to say the least

Rob this is just a suggestion but if you included some more information in how the result was acchieved you will most likely get more interaction from the members. I say this because most of us know how good your work is, but without the information on how you did what the only comments that can be made is great work for the most part, and while you have included links not everyone wants to follow them around the web. I do think your work on this is excellent even though it is a vehicle that is not of interest to me, I am however always watching how you get the results you do.

Rob,
You took an ugly duckling and turned it into a beautiful work of art.

Darren, I do agree with what you mentioned, but I can't really say at the moment 'how' I did this. It's for articles so I can't really let the cat out of the bag just yet. You know me, I post SBS stuff to share my techniques, but can't with this one.
I'm mainly posting this because it was reviewed here by one of the mods.
John Thanks bro.
James, got the email, thanks dude.
