I am in the process of creating this
camo pattern. It is the rare blurred edge winter camo. I have to connect the brown lines and give it a filter to call it done. Here is where I am, right now
Hopefully, I only have another hour's worth of painting and can then add the filter. At least, I can when the sun rises.

I think the pattern is more commonly called the Autumn oakleaf pattern. I don't think you've quite goit the shapes right. Yours looks a bit more like the very late war liebermuster camo.
There is a very good step by step on oak leaf over on Timelines

Thanks for the link exer. I scrapped this figure because he isn't wearing winter clothing. I'm using some Dragon figures for a stug. They are the correct period and are outfitted with winter gear. This will be my main focus for the day. One figure, that is.

Taking on the camo challenge very nice. Looking forward to it. If I may give you a few tips (keep in mind I'm no figure painting expert). But I think you should thin your paint more. It applies much easier that way and the result is much smoother. The Mustard yellow undercoat on your test figure has a very coarse texture. Also the brown camo flecks are in some cases very thick.
And as Pat already mentioned the pattern does not match what you show as example. Try to get an idea of the build up of the pattern. You started with mustard yellow. Then the second darker mustard yellow. On top of that the bands of Grey. Then the brown flecks with the lighter edges. Easiest is to built it up that way and the final darker centers of the flecks are done as last.
Easiest way to create the camo flecks is by using a really tiny brush and almost stipple the thinned paint on. placing small dots that you connect to create the irregular patterns. That way I did some years ago my rendition of Oak Leaf summer pattern
The real pattern
The 1:35 pattern
Looking forward to your results.

I will be airbrushing the base yellow on my replacement figure. I've been using a mix of Tamiya acrylics and MM enamels. However, my new paint line up is as follows:
Golden-yellow house paint for the base
Tamiya buff or MM sand
MM schockolate brown
Tamiya earth
I'll have to custom mix some paints for the darker yellow color. And a filter of MM panzer buff.

This pattern is called Rauchtarnmuster. (Smoke camouflage pattern)

Do you know if the pictured jacket is a repro?
Here's an image of a repro in more realisic colors:

You might try modifying this method by Jaume Ortiz on Timelines forum (already posted above):
http://www.timelinesforum.com/index.php?page=oakleaf1
As you can see the black overlay has holes in it showing the colors underneath.
Make sure you thin the paint to a thickness that makes it easy to paint.

The jacket pictured is a repro, but I can determine which colors I need. I plan on doing a second figure with a camo jacket.
The donor:
I have touched up the belt, but it is a straight line to the naked eye. Except for the face and camo, I'm done with this figure. Obviously I have put the yellow base down and the schokolate brown pattern. Next will be the darker yellow.

I may add a little more brown to this figure. The one with the jacket being painted looks much better.
