I tried using Tamiya primer on them. It came right off. What works?

Did you wash the parts first? Always wash resin parts in water with washing-up liquid to remove any traces of release agent that's on them. I always use auto primer on resin as well, whatever top coats I'll be using.

Oh, I wash everything most thoroughly. But next time I'll use the auto primer.

I know it is a technique that not everyone deems necessary, but I still think it best to prime everything I paint, especially resin. It also helps bring out any building mistakes or spots that need sanding.
