I have a question: Wich manufacturer makes the best (plastic) Opel Blitz?? I have an idea of a big project in my mind and will use a couple of Opel Blitz vehicles but I`m wondering wich manufacturers make them and if there are more manufacturers wich one makes the best then??

Tazz is right. I've built a couple of these and they are nice kits. You can't go wrong for the price.

thanks for the comments so far. Well with already two replies within tyhe hour saying the same thing the Italeri kit seems to be the way to go. Are there any flaws in it and does it need PE. If Yes who makes a good PE set for this one...IF no then it probably makes a nice OOTB built.

Robert,
I'm an OOTB modeler. I think that the Italeri kit looks good without any a/m stuff. However, the one thing that could be improved woud be the tires. I don't know if anyone makes resin wheels/tires, but if so, it would be a good investment.

Rob Revell also makes one with more detail but the plastic is a bit soft for me. The italeri one is good and even better if used with the Eduard PE set. Also the tyres are terrible and the worst part of the kit.
there are a few resin AM wheel sets...Tank workshop....real models (I think) to name two

Jadar / Armo (two brand names, but only one company, as far as I know) makes some very nice tires for the Blitz truck. You can have civilian or military paterns.
You can find them at : blast-models
You can certainly find them a bit cheaper at jadar's online shop, but I don't have the URL here.

Thanks for the Help I will see if I can track down one at the next event I`m going to. Maybe I can get my hands on those armo wheels. and will look for PE set to go with it.

If you're interested Ironside makes the Opel Command Omnibus. I was thinking about ordeing it but I am not sure of the quality. I'm still waiting for my first Ironside kit to arrive from GMWS...it's only been 3 months! Just a thought. Jeff
