I would like to know if anyone has any photos of a T-55 used by the Slovenian army during the war for independence from Yugoslavia in the 90's.
I am planning to build tamiya's T-55A over the summer!
All help is much appreciated.

Thanks, Nick.

Thanks so much Mauro!
This are going to be very useful during the build.
Also, do you recommend tamiya NATO Green for the color?

Well ... Actually it isn't so easy

Here a thread about

https://armorama.kitmaker.net/forums/173410&ord=1&page=1.

I'm still convinced that the closest color to replicate the SMB green is the Lifecolor RLM 02...maybe with a little bit of yellow. But that's just my guess

I'm glad to have helped you

Pay attention to details Nick
In 1992 the majority of Slovenian (former JNA) T-55s were Polish made. Tamiya kit is incredibly nice but only allows you to reproduce a Russian exemplar. So to obtain a correct model in an easier way you should chose from the pics which I've sent you a Russian made T-55

To have a fast recognition of them, look at the track links

RMSH track links means Polish made exemplar

Tanks which had those tracks needed a 14 teeth sprocket wheel

OMSH track links means Russian exemplar

In that case you can use the sprocket wheel provided by the kit

cheers

Thanks for the tip on the tracks,
I will most likely be building the Russian exemplar in one one the pics you provided, the one in a museum with the orange tape on the fenders and tool boxes.
What I'm thinking is using some of my father's electrician tape and airbrushing it the same color and then taping it on to the tank.

In my opinion an electrician tape is too thick in 35 scale. Furthermore tape glue could damage your painting job. If I were you I'd use some orange decal to do them or at least some stripes obtained from a very tiny paper For exemple the cigarette paper could be perfect. You'll have just to paint it in orange before applying on your model with a thin coat of white glue

I can cut small pieces of computer paper then airbrush them orange, I get what you're saying about the issue with scale.
