Finished up DML's kit #6440, the Bison II, over the weekend as a project that's been on the bench for right at 3 months. I've always had a soft spot for some of the wierder SPG designs, this one was built mostly OOB with the addition of some MK workable tracks and Griffon PE tool clamps. You can see the full build log Here to see how it builds up. Overall a very nicely detailed kit that's light years ahead of the old Alan kit.

Hi Bill, nice model. One thing - you should have used small elements for swastika's on the DAK symbols too. I don't know why Dragon made them as separate parts, they are quite tricky to allign.

Probably so they could sell the kit in countries that have banned depictions of swastikas.
As to the kit nice build!

John, Anthony, and Marc appreciate the comments, thanks!
Roman, Matt's right, the reason DML did the decals was due to the restrictions in France/Germany about displaying the swastika...they can't print them on the decal sheet or have them on the instruction sheet diagrams so this is their work-around to avoid problems. This is the case with all of their kits that carry DAK markings unfortunately.
I gave it my best shot to try to get the multi-piece decals to work but admit that I failed even after repeated efforts. So my palm tree DAK insignia only has half a swastika as a result. Good eye to catch it!
