Here's my recently finished Merkava III with KMT-5 mine roller. A friend was doing the Academy kit and I wanted a smaller version so I took the mine roller from a Trumpeter T-55 kit and put them together. Now I know that this is not the correct mine roller since it has only three nochri wheels instead of four, but I think it looks pretty cool. I took it to the AMPS International Convention this past weekend and won a gold in the Intermediate level. The best part of this build for me was the way the non-skid surface turned out. I used a combo of Future floor wax and baking soda to reproduce it in 72nd scale. Sorry the pics aren't that great. enjoy!

Hi Kerry,
Congratulations for the award. Your model looks nice and well color balanced even though I can't see many details in the pics.

Thanks njtp80, I missed that meeting! I did spend about 8 hours helping out with judging so I was able to see several of the Braille scale entries up close and personal!

Like I said this is very cool Kerry. What colour did you use?

Thanks Sabredog! I appreciate the kind words!
Val- I used Model Master Israeli sand/gray over a black base coat. I slowly built up the coats in what I guess is called a cloud effect so as to give the one color(no lightening/darkening)it's depth. Along with the non-skid surface texture, the different subtle shades and natural shadows are really great in real-time. I need to get better pics to show the effect.
