Dragon makes a number of Sherman Fireflies. They're pretty good, but not great.

Tasca makes the best Sherman Firefly.

Dragon makes the Firefly Vc, Firefly Ic Hybrid and Firefly Ic. But the best Firefly kit hands down, no debate - the Firefly Vc by Tasca.

I agree that Tasca is the way to go. The Dragon kits are second choice but I don't feel that they come close enough to the Tasca Firefly.

Dragon released its first Firefly in 95 and has released many in both 35th and 72nd since. So far they have kitted the VC and the 1C Hybrid with both types in multiple kits with various degrees of upgrade/new tool.
DML have announced a 1C Welded Hullwhich is probably the release you refer too.
Tasca only offer VC Fireflies and they are far superior to the DML offerings. As yet they do not offer the 1c in either hybrid or welded versions. Their Hybrid is covered in the orinal kit 9037, Orange Box Release and the new (very good) 6228. The new one should be a pretty good kit also going off there M4 kits. I am still hoping that Tasca do M4 Fireflies.

Hi
Does anyone know where I could find some informations about how to correct a dragon Firefly 1C (#6568). Or some comparative with the Tasca model?

I have it in stash, and am not sure to change it for a tasca.
Does this kit present big mistakes ?
thank you for the help.

Pardon my ignorance but isnt the tamiya firefly a re-box of the tasca one?

The Tamiya kit is the Tasca Sherman V in Tamiya box with Tamiya figures.

As for the Dragon Firefly IC welded hull it is the best of the Dragon fireflies as their M4 was the best of their Shermans. The M4 Normandy on which it is based was the Dragon Sherman that finally overcame all the previous problems and finally equaled the Tasca kits.

Yes, Dragon makes a couple nice kits. The tasca kit in the Tamiya box is also nice.
This kit has really nice tracks,

I've built every one of them plus the Tamiya Tasca. I like the Tasca as well. The Dragons build very nicely with great detail. Some have rubber tracks but the one mentioned above comes with "buildable" duckbill tracks....awesome.
For me , the rounded cast hull is the sexiest.
PS- The tasca lower hull has an alignment issue if you don't pay attention.

Tasca/Asuka kits, one of which is also reboxed by Tamiya, are the best Shermans available on the market.

The Famous VC is a good kit, but still like Asuka better. Asuka does two or three different Firefly's. The Dragon kits are a notch or two down the ladder.

Let's not forget that the poster who resurrected this five year old thread is talking about the IC welded hull Firefly. Did Tasca/Asuka ever make one? I say build it, then treat yourself to an Asuka Sherman someday.

Tasca/Asuka Shermans are a work of art, in addition, the build was just damn FUN!(except for the suspension and tracks which I hated but that was due to the details of the Sherman suspension itself not the kit) I am almost finished with my first one, and have 5 more!

Yes, a IC COMPOSITE hull. That's not the same as the IC welded hull (M4 Sherman)...
