Hi Gang,

for soem future HEMTT builds I look for unclassified informations of the installation of the FBCB2 system in a HEMTT.
My eduacted guess is that the monitor is somehow mounted on the dashboard and the Radio/EPLRS is situated between the seats.
Any input?

TIA

You pretty much have it. The radio part of it goes in front of the SINCGARS mount you see in the below pics. The screen and keyboard mount in the same area and are angled toward the passenger. It is pretty much the same set-up as a HMMWV.

Hope that helps.

Hello Gino,

thanks for the info, then I will build it this way. I think I must take a closer look at an HEMTT when I`m next time on exercise with 2nd CR.

Hans-Hermann,
To be technical, the HEMMT would have the Movement Tracking System (MTS) system, the cousin to the Blue Force Tracker (BFT) system. The MTS, BFT, and FBCB2 are basicallily the same systems but use differant means to communicate with each other. Both BFT and MTS use satellites uplinks and the box like antennas while FBCB2 uses EPLARS radios and its thicker traditional antenna to communicate battlefield and logistical information.

Hi John,

thanks for the MTS info, did a googles search and came up with some images of the components. Very helpful. No all I need to build is an M978 A4 and a M1120 LHS.
