Well, my old trap is soaked. I have had it since 2004 i guess. But it the past 2 weeks, it has had alot of use.
I bought it Micro Mark back then, along with my airbrush. But after cruising the MM site, it appears they don't carry this model anymore. A nice clear plastic version, with no cutting of hoses to mount.
I'm not sure of the manufacturer or part number. I can't even access my old account at MM.
I'm going to see if i still have my old receipt from back then to see if i can find it anywhere.
Anyways, what kind are you using? Is it clear?
I see MM carries a Paasche trap, but you need to cut hoses and it doesn't look clear to me.
Anyone give me some ideas?
Marc

Iwata has a nice one for 1/4" hoses that goes between the airbrush and the hose. I use it, and it works quite well - meaning I've had no moisture problems. You also have the added benefit of much of the moisture settling through the length of the hose, so the trap doesnt have to work so hard.
EDIT - it is clear, too, by the way.

I bought mine at a local autoparts store who sells air powered tools. A lot cheaper, and does the job great.

I recently bought one at Lowes for about $13. It works great and has 1/4" fittings already on it, with a clear bowl. Look in the compressor and air tools section.

Marc,
Is it a moisture trap and regulator, with a gauge and pressure knob? There are many of these combos that you can buy from art stores or airbrush companies that have 1/4" fittings, that will fit on your compressor at the outlet. For airbrush use, you want one with a gauge marked in 1 PSI increments, usually 0 - 60 PSI. These combo units have a drain at the bottom so they last forever. Definitely check out Lowe's, Auto stores, Harbor Freight, etc. for a low price.

I've got a home made plumber's nightmare. You can see most of it in the picture.
It's a male quick disconnect threaded into a moisture trap, into a 1/4 in nipple, into a 1/4 turn shutoff, into another nipple, into a secondary pressure gauge, into the 1/8" adapter for my Badger hose. I plug the QD into the fitting on my general purpose air compressor.
