Let me ask. When you do a search say for the Marder II, what exactly to you type in? What search engine are you using?
Thanks

Not to seem like a prick, but it is PETRO.
As an example, i have been searching for panzer IVJ photos, but most are M odel pics from forums.

Huh, never heard of anyone interested in the Marder II but has always been the Marder III.
Especially this vehicle:
I just think the 38t chassis is the most interesting set of wheels that had so many versions used on it. Including the 38t Jagdpanzer.

Jeff,
Yes the marder III does have the cool looking 38t chassis, but the marder II just looks better more in your face than roll over top heavy like the III does, unless were talking the laid back & let me kill you sleek look of the III m series, IMVHO lol

Hi Mike
When you use Google Image search, don't forget to narrow your search by selecting "black and white" pics only. It will increase the ratio of period pics..and you'll get rid of most of the 1/35 model pics
You can also have a look at the Bundesarchiv stuff
or this album on Flickr :

Yeah, like Frenchy said. I always try to target my searches by maybe a time frame. Like try Marder II in WWII also.
I have a Marder II by Tamiya in the old stash here. The more you look at it, it does have that look about it as you described.
The Germans were experts at making mobile guns and I think that's why that their armor is the most desired to build. That and the camo they used.

That old Tamiya Marder is why I love the look of it made one way way back like before the 90's lol
I also think the Germans T/Ds & SPGs fall into two categories either way to out of proportion/ top heavy & just freaky fragile looking ie sig33 on the paner I or super cool like the marder III m & stugs
They never really had a in between lol least IMO
