Hi All,
There is a small epitaph to my story. The model took a gold medal at the Long Island IPMS Replicon show out in Freeport, NY and a gold medal at the AMPS International in Atlanta, Georgia. With those two under its belt, I will retire it to the display case.

Great project! Egyptian modeller Vasko Barbic did an article on this vehicle back in the '80's for Military Modelling magazine, and had to backdate his Sherman from a Tamiya M4A3, as no dry stowage welded hulls existed yet (yikes!). For those wanting to tackle this project today, the CyberHobby "Orange Box" M4A4 re-release includes all the necessary M4A2 parts in the box, so no M4A2 donor kit is needed (and the kit has all the suspension and engine deck improvements as well).
