I just started on DMLs Tauch III H. The question at hand, is whether the turret seals were painted Dunklegrau, or if they were just natural rubber. I haven't seen any really good color photos of them, so if anyone knows a good ref site that would help.
Also, I have seen pictures of the intake covers propped open to improve cooling, but nothing of how they were propped open. Any advice?
Thanks
Rich

Rubbers..... These were initially painted dark grey, but paint didn't stay on them long. I painted mine "grimey black" - a polyscale color. Incidently, I also paint my roadwheel tires this color... it gives a good representation of rubber "in scale".
The air intake covers could be propped open with a brace on each outside end of the "box". Each end of the intake manifold had one of these little braces.
