Hi there
I was searching and googleing for some time now, but could not find any reference of the M4A3E8 in the hands of german troops.
Anyone knows if this actually happened? What I'm asking is if someone has a reliable source about it, not speculations (You know, I'm able to speculate on my own, LOL).
Thanks for any help!

I'm part of a private group of Sherman fanatics and we share photos and talk much minutae of Shermans. No known instances of M4A3E8s in either after action reports or photographs has emerged. It would be a remarkable item and surely, the experts in this private group would have noted it. While no one can prove negative, I'd say no know photos or reports have surfaced to date.

Hi Hugo,
I haven't looked through the images for a M4A3E8 but here is a good beutepanzer site.

Thanks Randy
I already know that site, its one of my favorite sources for beute panzers, but no reference there about Easy Eights in german hands.
Seems that we'll have to wait to see if any photo of one of them arises surface in the future.

In my own opinion, it was too late in the war. By the time the E8’s reached the front lines, The German armies where in retreat or surrendering in mass. If one was captured, I don’t think they would have had enough time to prep it for service before being recaptured.
