I picked this set up a few weeks ago on a whim. I usually like sets like this for the equipment and pieces that may find a place somewhere else.
The set isn't that bad. The detail is crisp though the figures seem a little large and the weapons are molded to the figure hands. However, I'm kind of stumped on what to do with it besides parting it out.
Anyway, I was wondering if anyone has built this set and maybe some examples of how they used the figures.

I have two sets of the kit; one that was built out of the box to see how they were, and the second is going ti be converted to a modern FSB style team. For that, I will need dragons AK family set and probably shopping new hands. They go well with a BTR and some ruins in my opinion.

Alex, I did a review a few years ago here: https://armorama.kitmaker.net/review/3913
I have quite a big plan for this set which includes them in a diorama set in Moscow's train station. There are so many ideas you could do it's just thinking of them...

Thanks for the responses.
Simon, I typically stay away from action scenes. I looked at maybe converting them to less action oriented poses. I hate to risk messing up some of the detail work.
Martyn, Unfortunately I read your review after I had purchased the figures. It was one of those impulse buys that really seemed like a great idea at the time. Back when Dragon was releasing their SWAT figure sets I'd pick them up just for the variety of weapons and equipment.
I have an old BMP-1 that I've toyed with the idea of making in to an Urban Response Command & Control style vehicle. Basically raise the ceiling on the fighting compartment like a M557. If not that, I'm sure I can find a use for them, at least their equipment. I've turned Soviet Scouts into Armed Hazmat Responders so anything is possible.

If you wanted, the fella kneeling with the mirror would make a half-decent EOD engineer.

Or, with a little work, a combat medic checking on a wounded person.
I think I'm just going to shelve the set for now. I could see them as the basis for some sort of "what-if" Space Marine Squad. Maybe put them in a shadowbox diorama performing a "pest control" mission. I'll probably go futuristic or sci-fi.

go check out militaryphotos.net,
look in the strictly photos and video forum,
and find the Russian Photos thread. (it should be near the top, if not in the recent items on the right side of the front page)
There are 3000+ pages of pics from all aspects of the Russian military, but a very great many modern Russian counterterrorist training and in-action photos and videos there.
Many pics with BTR's as well
If the images from there do not get your juices flowing, nothing will.
