This morning I received my first kit, an Sd.Kfz. 222 from Hobby Boss - http://www.hobbyboss.com/a/en/product/armor/1_35/2010/1129/622.html
I know the main colour that's required for the hull and metalwork (ochre brown 36188, for the 21st pz Div, Libya 1941) but I could really do with some help choosing other colours for detailing and weathering. I don't want to be going to the model shop every day or two for a pot of paint here and there. And I know as this is my first build I may need to buy a number of colours.
I've chosen (after a good look around forums, and seeing what my LMS has in stock) to use Revell Aqua paints. If you guys could help me with choose some essential colours I'll be needing for this model (and which I'll use on builds in the future) I'd be grateful. Obviously I don't expect Revell numbers; if you just give me an idea of colours I'll rake around for a comparison.
I found a good site yesterday for comparisons; it's well known but I'll post it for anyone not aware - http://www.paint4models.com/#
Thanks folks.

Hello Gavin
Actually, a DAK AFV in 1941 would be:
March 17, 1941 – Grunbraun RAL 8000 covering 2/3, Graugrun RAL 7008 covering 1/3.
Lifecolor makes a nice set for these colors.
For tools and such, I use the panzer aces colors from Vallejo which work really well for me.
Hope this helps.
Dave

Thanks for the heads-up Dave.
Actually, after I posted that I thought 'I bet that's wrong!' and had a sniff around the net - found a few good sites I've bookmarked.
You or someone else can confirm these for me -
RAL 1002 - vehicle interior, equipment
6006 - ammo boxes
7033 - transmission
Apart from those, just let me know folks. Anything to do with detailing and weathering on this Sd.Kfz. 222.
Thanks.
