Back in January we ran a news story on MiniArt working on a Ya-12 SOVIET ARTILLERY TRACTOR in 1/35th scale. Inside you will find an image heavy update on this vehicle.

It beats another land-wasser schlepper kit any day! I'm glad to see a variety of tracked-tractors appearing. With the Steyr RSO/1 tractor models, the M4 High Speed tractors, the Voroshilovets, the "Klara", and a few others, it's made me start buying artillery and field gun kits because I like the tractors as the movers more than half-tracks and other trucks.
I'd like to see a continuation of the US "M" series in affordable plastic like an M5. Even an M8 would be neat! An M2 would even be cool because it reminds me so much of the tractors some early self-propelled artillery pieces were mounted on.
Ah, to dream!!!!!
This will be another on my wish list!

I have Miniart's 76,2 gun which I never got around to build... can I use it with the YA-12, or was this tractor used strictly for large size field guns?
