Got home this afternoon and waiting on my steps was a DML M51 Isherman and a DML M46 Patton. Got both of them from separate trades for some 1:48 scale aircraft and old Renwal armor kits. I think I got the better deal, I traded a Renwal Patton and Bulldog for the M46 and an AMT Tigercat and P-40N for the Isherman, with an SS tank crew tossed in.
The Isherman includes both the M50 and M51 turrets. Looks to be a nice kit that gives me plenty of spares. The Sherman pile continues to grow...

No, I spent over 4 yrs in 1st Cav. They haven't been an Air Cav division in over 25+ years. 1st Cav is an armored division by MTOE. The only difference is that all the infantry and armor battalions were reflagged as cavalry battalions that served with the 1st Cav in Vietnam and earlier.

Heh, goes to show what I know.
I'm looking forward to joining in a few years. I'd just do a two year tour, prefferably with the airborne.

Only one airborne division in the Army today, the 82nd out of Ft. Bragg. The 101st is an air assault division, transported by helicopters. They don't do jumps anymore.
