Tom: Good subject and seems like a nice dio. Would be good to see some pics in better lighting. Some of the photos are pretty dark.
I just finished reading Eric Hammels books on the battle of Hue so the subject is fresh in my mind. Good to see it built out.

A little late here but I do have a question. Do you want to know what's wrong with it?
I think it's pretty good and about what my level is right now. But I can tell you pretty much what is wrong with some of the items in the dio.
It's a little hard to tell if the colors are correct because of the poor pictures. I just invested in a camera and a tripod. The tripod is really good and was only $20, the camera a lot more but not very expensive. Plus I got a good program to fix the pictures up.
If you ask I will say. I don't want to be one of those basher types. It looks good, if you want to make great it needs work.

Hey Thomas, as stated, the lighting really throws the pic's off. Makes it real hard to find the details you put into your build. A plain backdrop with redirected lighting would make it alot easier to see everything you have accomplished. So with that out of the way, from what we can see, it looks pretty darn good. Good story line and to the point, no guessing needed. The only thing I would question would be the trooper jumping the wall, 1st pic, 5th from right. I think the wall's a bit high for a feat like that. If the wall was lower then it would seem better. Quite a high jump as it is. At least that's the way it seems with the lighting now. I could be wrong, maybe he came off the tank first, but the lighting once again makes it very hard to say for sure. Darn good job with the tank tracks in the roadway there. A small thing that many forget but with yours it helps tie it all together. Now the wall; something that high would normally require double width (course; in proper terms) just to support it. As it is, you could knock it down with your own hands. If your inclinded to at this point, an easy fix. Just add another section to the existing wall, but make sure the ends of the bricks get layed (staggered)end to middle. Just take a look at any wall or house that is being built or demoed. Little things like that will make a differance in the final look. Also a bit of trash (rusted cans, broken bottles and such)scattered around. Cities are notorius for garbage laying around. It's not like the trash pick up day is coming around any time soon. Warfare usually interupts civil nessities. I like the possitioning of your figures, feels like your right there with them. To many times you see a dio with the figures positioned in an awkward setting, and that will distract the veiw of possible reality. From what I can see, your on the right track for this dio. Please note that the advise is just advise, no bashing; I don't belive in that. Hope this helps you some and please, some better pic's. This is too nice not to be able to see it good.
