Hello all,
I need an urgent reply please,I have decided to try out the hairspray method on my first aircraft. I gave it a coat of Tamiya Chrome silver X-11 acrylic ... when I sprayed the first coat of hairspray it started dissolving the paint and it started dripping off the model ... what did I do wrong?
I had asked around and people told me I could use Acrylics ... was that the error?
Thank you for any help/advice you can give me.

Yes, you have to use water based paints. Hairspray will dissolve oil based paint.

You can use enamels as the color, but you need to coat with an acrylic sealer before appling hairspray. I always coat with Future before applying hairspray.
