Well back from the paint shop, and looking not so bad. The grey in the pictures is actually Vallejo Air Panzer Green 1943, and looks green in person, but for some reason won't photograph green. (and I tried many times with different light)
Now onto wheels and some fine detail.

If I had to guess, I'd say that all the white background was causing the green to wash out against the dunkelgelb base; I see it as a faded green, and when I grab one of the images, toss it into Paint Shop Pro, and bump the saturation up, it's very clearly green. An annoying little optical illusion in our eyes' response to color.

Getting closer, wheels are on, I would suggest that you don't glue the wheels in place till you line up the track. I have noticed that some wheels, especially the outer wheels do not sit all the way down on their respective pins.
The track was a dream, very easy to clean up, and no ejector marks. And it went together very well. I used my secret mixture of Regular Tamiya Liquid Cement mixed 50/50 with Tamiya Extra Thin. I applied a small dot on the track where the pad attaches. I like this mixture, because you can put a small drop somewhere and it stay, does not run like the extra thin, and does not glob like the thick.
So as I type this the tracks are in the paint shop for a coat of black primer before starting the weathering and attaching to vehicle. So a little wait.

Kevin
Great build & paint progress. This track is on my TO DO List
as well. I just can't decide what to pull behind it. I'm
trying to find a. Heavy Flak or Howitzer. Not sure which one
would be better. Great Progress, Keep Up the Build

Just for those interested, I have finished the first stage of weathering the tracks. They were given a coat of Vallejo Black Primer, then a quick wash of Vallejo Burnt Umber Wash with a drop of Vallejo Metallic Medium. Once that dried, I applied Mig Standard Rust wash and Vallejo Burnt Sienna Pigments.
Once this dries over night, I will pick out the depth with True Earth Deep Rust, and brush some Vallejo Graphite pigments on the inside. And again once dry they will be ready to mount on vehicle for final (dirty) weathering.

Yeah, unfortunately the only "gun" I have at the moment, maybe down the road, I will build an 88 and replace it.

I know it has been a while, it is amazing how time flies. Well with all the paint on, decal on top of a coat of future followed by some pin washed of Mig and True Earth, then sealed with a coat of Testor Flat the weathering process has begun.
This is really a nice kit, and it building up to a vehicle that looks great, and I am proud of. Reconsidering the load behind, thinking I really need to pick up an 88.
Overall I definately recommend this kit. It builds into a beautiful model.

Too bad and a shame those tracks are not so well seen. I'm impressed!

changing your towing option. FLAK 18 or heavy mortar. You did
a fantastic paint job. CHEERS

That's come out brilliantly Kevin. I'm going to get one on the strength of your build.

Well I think it is time to call this one done. I have to say this kit was a real pleasure to build, there is some much there, and there is so much potential. The very well detailed interior, engine, tracks, it just goes on.
The kit went together very well, there was some minor issues as noted in the build log, but I would definately recommend this kit. I stand by my review. Do yourself a favor, and go buy this kit.
The machine gun belts are from Griffon Model, not really a big fan of the PE flat belts, but thought it needed that little extra.
Thanks to Trumpeter (Steven's International)and Armorama for providing the review kit. And I will repeat it, I recommend this kit 100%, what a gem!
