Dragon have announced the first variant of the RSO from the three versions commonly seen and they have produced.
Of the three this one is my favourite.

Finally! Dragon sure took their sweet time on this... Now what to do with those old Peerless/Testors/Italeri/Tamiya kits...

I'm still building mine ... with Friuls of course! I have a second RSO with the Pack 40 I want to measure off for a 1/16th project, but that's so far down the road. Then I have a Tractor so I only need one of the remaining in the DML.

This one will go onto my buy list - it's only been many many years I've waited for a better kit then the old Italeri thing!
I wonder... will the D provide a towed gun or nebelwurfer or some other thing(s) to help fill the box on this one and make it more equivalent to his Magirus RSO/03 with PaK 38 kit? I'd naiively say that they should, were they righteous and all, given that this one probably makes use of lots of already-done extant sprues and parts!
It would be pretty cool, I think, if this one came with a cover tilt for the rear or maybe some cargo or something beyond the bare-bones and empty vehicle suggested by the box-art... or maybe it'll come out at a slightly lower price then did the /03 kit?
Not that I will hold my breath on the D being righteous or "fair" proposition!

Sorry, been out of the loop for a long while...How many versions of these RSOs has Dragon put out?
I'm definitely getting this one! One of my favorites, for sure.

Was only a matter of time...glad to see it hit the release schedule! So many potential uses for it.

Yeah, I agree Bill. I have the old Perless kit. I was shopping for AM stuff for it, but now I can scratch that off my list.

Oh heck no, I stopped after getting AM tracks for them. The rest of the AM ads up waaaay to fast for those little tractors.

No problem. Hope it's here before the NATS so I can pick one up while I'm there.

I'm getting it! Now if they would only release the tracks as a separate item then I could outfit my unbuilt Italeri kit with some decent shoes.
