I just ordered these two figures and I was wondering if they're supposed to be used together.. as in a joint patrol type of situation? Was this common over there?

I believe these two figures can be used togethery. After all, the US was deployed to instruct the Iraqi military how to react to many situations. We did not impose martial law, persay. However, we like to make sure things are well in hand before we withdraw our forces. JMHO.

When my unit was in Fallujah in '06 we had a training team on Baharia that trained Iraqi jundi and ran joint patrols in town with their charges, so you could definitely use them together. Just have to replace that SAW, the paraSaw was very common in my unit; most of the Marines that operated with the jundi were armed with the M16, the jundi had the machine guns.
