Hi Gang,Just posted a Question on the ModelGeek section of the website but i`d thought i`d also ask it here as i seem to get a reply faster !.
Recently i treated myself to a Gundam M-61A5 Tank kit and now i`d like to put it in a small diorama showing it being re-supplied at the front.
The problem is i`d like to know what calibre the main armament is as i`d like to show cases or pallets of ammunition stacked nearby,i`ve tried to "Google" it but everything comes back in Japanese - which i aint too good at understanding !.
If anyone out there knows can they tell me ?,as i`m bustin` to know.

Danny, I've wondered the same thing myself as I've dreamed of actually getting my hands on one of these Hard Graph kits one of these days.
I was under the impression that the gun design is based on the Rheinmetall barrels that are commonly used on NATO MBT's, which use a 120mm round. This may be a good place to start.
**edit:
The main guns are 155mm smoothbore

Might not be the right calibre , but the two piece 152 mm ammo from MiniArt might look good in a dio . set # 35076

This is the EFGF 6x6 from one of the side stories.
Are you doing Herman Yandell's tank with the fender cover and skirts?

I hav`nt got round to starting the damned thing yet, every time i open the box a chill runs down my spine thinking of how much it cost !.
That aside,i got some photocopies done and have been pondering what colour scheme to paint it,i`d like to base it on a real world tank colour - possibly sand or sinai grey. Also i was thing of fairing over the two big attachment points at the front as they seem to serve no purpose.

I'd like to find some aftermarket tracks for mine, but the track design is quirky -- the sprocket wheels have a narrow spacing, putting the sprocket teeth holes closely on either side of the guide horns, with a 'shoulder' outboard of the sprocket teeth to support the tracks around the sprockets. You can see the holes for the sprocket teeth in the image below:
Because of this design quirk, it pretty much eliminates replacing the kit tracks with a size-comparable aftermarket track set (or two; it's a large tank, and one set might not be enough). One possibility I'm looking at is, if I can find aftermarket tracks of an appropriate width, to get aftermarket sprocket wheels that fit the track and junk the kit sprocket wheels (I'd need four, as the M61A5 has, for whatever reason, sprocket wheels at the front and rear of the track runs).

This was supposed to release this year along with an 8X8 APC that looks like a BTR-60, but no word of either of them.

If I recall correctly the gun's are 155mm. I believe it say's in the instruction's. I built one a number of years ago. Took a silver at an IPMS show with it. For the front end, I modified mine to accept a Tamiya Abrams mineplow.
