Hi fellows,
It has been a long long time since my last post:)
This is one of latest project,Tiger I late production with winter camo.
The tiger is from Dragon,6383,I made it almost OOB,only replaced the fenders and workable tracks from AFVclub. The preformed zimmerit is hard to say satisfying,I peelled off some of it to make it look more natural.
To make a heavily used(maybe abused)tiger,I did layers and layers of paint and chipping and some really dirty mud work.
Thanks in advance for any comments.
Best regards & Happy modeling
Wu

So nice and I love the tag you attached to the base.

Hi
Nice model although the name "beast hunter" was one actually used by the Russians for their anti tank tanks. This was due to the Germans calling their tanks Tiger and Panther, so the Russians saw their anti tank tanks as "beast hunters".

absolutely the best Tiger tank I've laied my eyes on anywhere!!!!!! Not totally over weathered, but weathered as it should be with the climate it's operating in. And the figures simply are outstanding as well.

Very well done Wu, I love this tank
Just one question: This is a Tiger I late production, then why does it have yellow base color instead of 2-3 tones camo?
Forgive my curiorsity
Huy.

Unless we are looking at a factory applied 3 tone camo hetzer or king tiger, I would assume that it would be perfectly ok to have any late war german vehicle in dunkelgelb without any brown or green overspray.
Anyways, if you look closely, I can see some thin green snake lines on the model, so I think there was a base camo before the whitewash. Again, I don't think it would be innaccurate to not have it.

Hello Huy
The base is indeed a 3 tones camo, heavily faded, just look a bit carefully,on the hatches and fenders.
Thanks for your comment

Hey Wu bayin, nice looking tiger. Fits the cold gloomy area of operations. A question because I've never seen this before, what are the markings on the spare tracks for? I have heard that there were left and right tracks but I am not a axis armour builder, just curious about them.

Great Tiger Wu ! One of the best I have seen. The TC looks very cold and serious. Thank you for sharing with us ! What is your next project? Please do a build log for us. You have a lot to teach us. Thank you again ! Tom

Hi Wu,
Great looking tank & painted job on the tiger, love the knee deep in mud look too, just as you would expected a 56 ton monster to look.
Cheers Mike

Hello bob,the tank crew sometimes do write some simbles and nubers on places like spare tracks,it might be for positions, repair and battle records etc.but there's no actual meaning for every single characters,it depends on the crew.Actually, the simbles on this tiger has "meanings",just wanna make it more interesting.
Thanks for the comment.
