Kglack

This is absolutely not personal but the Current events and everything possible is the point everybody tries to avoid here on the site like it is a really bad disease.
Couple of months ago we had a special forum here on armorama for all the current events and such and it was not this big succes as the Personal opinions of everybody clinched a little and the result was that there came an aggresive atmosphere. I never was too happy with the Current events forum and was happy that it dissapeared since then we live in harmony and try to keep the heads as much as possible at the most important event in the world: MODELING.
I hope you understand this point, Wich is definately not only mine, about this and that we still can go on as good friends but the Current Events never proved to be a good succes

Here Here, I agree with Robert.

No ill will and we all do keep on buildin' models. Life is easier and smoother when we focus on modeling.

Ooops...

Unless it has something to do with modelling (rarely) current affairs have no place on this site. There are literally millions of BBs and chat-rooms out there. Let's keep this site civilized...(or as civilized as possible ) Jim

I certainly vote to keep politics off Armorama!.. it's a topic almost guaranteed to be devisive.

One of the beauties of the Big-A is the fact there are people here from all over the world, and all walks of life, who come to together to share a love of modelling.

All the best

I agree with everyone...I was making a joke about what Jim said about the "whirled peas".

But, you got to admit, it's kinda ironic that we don't allow any talk about current events when, our vocation (ie: military modeling) has to do with current events at one time or another either present or past history.

We have forums for History...so what's the big deal? I realize some members don't agree with the addition of the forum, so, don't click the icon for the forum and it shouldn't bother you. I don't care much about modeling airplanes, so, i never go to their forums.

I myself would sometimes like to discuss the "world problems" with other people I "know" and respect, like all of you.

But, that's just my opinion. And like a certain body-part...we all have one.

Even normally timid old me tends to get rather agressive and confrontational when talking about politics or left vs. right issues. I think it's normal or at least encouraged too much in world society to scream at each other instead of trying to see the other POV. Must mean we aren't getting enough sex. hehe

But that is another taboo subject thankfully.

Geez guys, as Jim pointed out, Kevin was joking.

Bad enough that you take the big stick to him, even worse you continue after Jim has explained it.

I know English is a second language to many of you but really if you dont understand something it would be better not to comment.

Reading the Forums you would think that this hobby should come with a warning-
Modelling can seriously destroy your sense of humour.

Jim, you should move to Godzone, we only have right wing politics, sex is optional, and our biggest problem is, apparently, Laura Norder.

Regards Dave

Dave,
Actually if certain people are elected president in '04 or '08 my wife and I have threatened to re-locate to your area of the world. I think I would like it there.

Do ya think I can learn the lingo? hehe

Hi Jim,

I'd have thought you'd be heading to the Isle of Man - didn't you once say that you have family roots there?

All the best

Well done! Theres almost a touch of irreverence appearing.

So many people from the 'top half' are heading this way at the present that we will soon have more problems than they are trying to get away from! Apart from which the shift in weight is threatening to upset the planets equilibrium.

Lang may yer lum reek, Arthur.
