If you're a history buff of the Tank Destroyer battalions and their arms from WWII, than this will excite you as much as I. While searching the "www" for more info on TD's, as I often do, I ran across this very exciting bit of news. The 1-14th Aviation Regiment is going to be using this newly designed patch to commemorate their tank destroying brethren of WWII.
Awesome. Hoooaaahhh!

PS: This should probably be placed in the "Aircraft Talk" forum, but how could I not put it here?!

The whole article can be read HERE, which describes each of the patch's components.

Here I thought that I could apply this to an inconspicuous spot on my arm, and it would help me kick the habit of buying more models than I'll ever be able to complete.

That's the patch I need...

Any unit with a designation like 1-14th Aviation Regiment is a US Army aviation unit, not a US Air Force unit. Most likely an attack aviation unit equipped with AH-64 Apaches.

Indeed you are correct Rob. This is an Army unit out of Fort Rucker, Alabama - Home of Army Aviation. They train on and use the AH-64A Apache, Sikorsky UH-60A Black Hawk, CH-47 Chinook, OH-58D Kiowa Warrior, and the AH-64D Apache Longbow.
They simply traced their tank destroying equipment's heritage back to the TD units of WWII.
