I think I may start on my AA gun project early, but count me in for a Tamiya 1:35 Sgt. York that I'm planning on superdetailing.

That's probably what I'll build as after spending money on a FAUN kit for the Tank Transporter Campaign and $$$$ on my Twin T34 Builds in 1/16, my hobby account is looking pretty bare now. I still need to get materials for the Marder Maddness Campaign too.

I think this will be the sleeper of all the Campaigns!

Hi Jeff,

OK, I spotted this campaign starting a while ago. I've just picked it back up.
It really seems to be moving along at a fair pace, so I guess I'll have to weigh in
With my 2 Roubles worth.
I think I'll go with DML's ZSU-23-4 M and Trumpys SA6, both with lots of bits and bobs.
Oh and by the way the finish date is my birthday (LV1).

Roger.

Just signed up. Well here we go, my entry in this campaign.

Comes with basic engine and I have added some Miniart figures as suitable crew.
Now the Dragon version may have been a more suitable choice but what the heck. They tell me a challenge is good for the soul.

Hi all,
I´ve just received the latest copy of "Scale Military Modeller International" still in paper form and
within the pages it states that Bronco are to release a
Versuchsflakwagen PzSflIVc If it does come out in time I may just choose this as my build

Here´s some pics from a book of mine:

Have a nice weekend all.
Cheers Paul

Ok, I may just change my mind again...

Been researching the M39/M55 combo and may go that route if I don't do the Sgt. York.

That does look impressive Paul, if it does come out in time will you make the sides work as they should?

Hi Christopher, that depends on how fragile the mechanism
is.

Jeff, your thinking along the lines of your "Large Scale Build" again, this kit is 1/35 not 1/to bloody big . I know I like to scratch build things
but
there will be definatly no motorisation of the side
panels.
Or just maybe I could.... motorised side panels
, 360°traverse , elevation and have friul tracks
and let it chase my cat around the place

Ok, scratch the Sgt. York option, I'm going with the M39/M55 combo.

My entry will include:

Dragon M55 Quad-50 turret
AFV Club M18 Hellcat
Griffon M55 Quad-50 royale update set
Legend M39 AUV conversion set.

It will be done as an M39 from Headquarters Battery, 26th AAA(AW) Battalion that saw combat in Korea in 1950-51.

Paul, I'm with Jeff, motorize it! That would be incredible; though you'd possibly spend just as much on servos and electronics as you do on the kit. I hope it's out in time for your build regardless of what you do with it.

Oh, and it is lots of fun to chase the cat with a motorized model, I got Tamiya's RC M4 last Christmas. Both of my cats weren't bothered by it until it was within about three feet of them and then they decide to run.

Nope... 1/35th is do-able as I have seen it done. It was just a fun suggestion though.

And Jon! You are going all out with THAT list of parts! Should be worth the effort.

Jeff,

Been researching the real thing lately and hoping to eventually do it in 1:1 scale too. I'm looking for an M39 in the Army system right now. According to the 26th AAA records, it performed significantly better than the M16 halftrack, but it looks like only one vehicle was converted.

I've got the M55 turret on order and will be securing the remainder over the next couple months. Suddenly that 1 March start date isn't looking so distant after all!

Jon
