Hi all!

I bought a Leopard 2 A6 from Tamiya. It's this model:

I bought with a PE Voyager, the PRO version:

http://www.voyagermodel.com/productdetails.asp?itemid=PRO35001

I surf on th e Net but I know nothing with modern armor:

I want to know what I'm missing kits to do it knowing that I do not want to net barracuda (and everything that goes with the sunshade etc.). I find it hides the leopard too.
Also, I wonder if I should eventually removed from the Tamiya kit and set of Voyager

The Leopard in your photo is a Canadian Leopard 2A6M. You'll need the Eduard slat armour set and a 2A6M conversion (Storm, or a complete 2A6M conversion from Real Model which includes the Eduard p.e.) The 'M' versions have belly armour and additional top glacis armour among other things.

You might be able to graft the 2A6M CDN parts from a hobbyboss kit to the Tamiya kit as well. Though not as refined as PE and resin, they are a cheaper alternative, and may be easier too.

If you have the Tamiya kit and the Voyager Pro set keep them...they will for sure add to the over look of the finished project.

The image you have posted was the "initial" version of the Canadian Leopard 2A6M CAN. It does not have the C8 rifle box, the ECM boxes, or the raised vent next to the ECM boxes.

To model this version you can use these sets....

Eduard slat armour...

Storm Miniatures conversion...

https://armorama.kitmaker.net/review/3643

In the Storm Miniatures conversion to make the tank shown in the image leave off the following parts...

-Turret Rifle Box
-Electronic Box
-Electronic Box lid
-Electronic Box Handle
-Electronic Box Duct
-Ventilator

Echelon Fine Details also makes a decal set...D356044.

If you want to go further replace the kit tracks with Bronco Leopard 2 tracks.

If you want replace the tow cables with Eureka XXL versions.

Frederic, I got probably the best Leopard 2A6 kit around, also the most complete PE set. Keep them.
As others told you before, the photo is from a Canadian Leopard, a different version of your kit.
The hobbyBoss kit might be a good choice.

To do a german version of Leopard, you got the best upgrade & the best kit !

Hi guys,

sorry for my late answer and thanks for your help.

Finally, I took the kit tamiya and upgrarde Voyager. I did that because the two kits aren’t new. The person sold me their kits for 60 € only because he hasn't time to build it. This is the price of the kit Voyager alone ...
So I think buy the small Eduard slat upgrade and the Storm miniatures resin kit. I would have several parts in several copies but it does not matter.
I must also find items to put in the baskets at the rear of the turret. Have you some ideas?
In fact, I want to do this Leopard 2 canadian version because it will be the modern equivalent of my funny Panther F.
