What ya know? I am going to give up on this one. I tried my reasons for why this is not a TD, I had originally wanted to keep it just private between me and PvtParts, by sending him a TD as a gesture to compensate for him not being able to do the Chi-Nu for the group build at MY COST! But seeing all my efforts were just a laughing stock for some of you, with the jokes, the socks, and all.

Frankly I am tired of all these. I had thought it's best to make identification clear, so if a young person join the group build, he would know what's an TD, instead get his arse chewed out in more professional sites for calling a tank TD or a TD a tank. They are ruthless out there, ya know! But since, some of you rather to be nice, than sometimes stand firm on what is really right. I give up, I never waived in my whole life, and I don't need to waive on such a small issue. I concede, sometimes, you just can't win.

And for all of you chipped in on this thread, or other 3 to 4 threads that generates from it, ask yourself, how many of you are going to actually finish the group build, and post a picture of finished model? I know I am going to offend a lot of people, I never joined a group build or campaign that I never go all the way to the end with a finished model, it's committment for me. Maybe I am old styled, deadline and committment mean something to me. So if you are not plan to finish a groupbuild then why don't you get off the soap box, and leave this to people who are planning to ride this all the way? (No Offense PvtParts, I am sure you are going to finish the build, I always respect you, you are not one of the quiters)

All things said, this is a group build started small, we came up with this idea in chat, me and carl, at that time, we just want to do a Jagdtiger groupbuild. It should remain small, and among friends... (Carl, I told ya so )

So go ahead, build whatever you like, do a tiger, do a panther, do a polish lancer for all I care, come on, they were used to charging German Panzers, albeit not successfully, but still, DEPLOYED that way, do a Marverick Missle, whatever, just do whatever you want, and build something.

I vented!

Why has this degenerated into some kind of academic discussion? It's supposed to be a relaxed GB. I would strongly suggest that those who want to start arguing over the rivets go and find another.... I am getting really hacked off with this thread, if people can't read rules and accept them that's ok, personally I prefer a level playing field.
The photo of the panzerfaust team was so funny I almost laughed.....Jim

Come on now, lets not get carried away here.
If you have been following all the treads on this discussion, you will know that John (PvtParts) had conceded. You have to give him some kind of credit for at least trying to have his Chi-Nu accepted into this TD GB. After all, the guy had spent upward of $70! in order to find a unique entry. John had also kept his sense of humor through this and I'm certain meant no harm to anyone by posting his rather funny "Stinky Bomb" - TD.

Enough said, now lets get to back to having fun.

That's why I offered to compensate for his loss by sending him a TD of his choice at my COST.

This post should be locked down and left as a silent reminder as to why we don't (and never should) have a current affairs forum........Jim

Guys, I am not in the GB and only posted the photo of the panzerfaust team to try to break the tension. I feel that everyone here has demonstrated their passion for their opinion. I did not intend to belittle the debate. Forgive me if I offended anyone. It's all supposed to be fun.

Will an ISU 122 be considered a TD or heavy artillery?
