Wondering if there are or were kits made of some of the later IS tanks. Playing World of Tanks I have managed to add an IS4 and IS7 to the garage. I have built an IS3 kit and thought it would be kind of cool to add these to my Soviet collection (about 12 so far) woulod also love to get a zsu 57X2

Oh prefer 35th scale. i heard someone was gonna do this in resin

IS-8 (T-10) is available from Commander's models. It is a ok kit, not great for the $160 price tag.

There is the long OOP Navigator IS-4 kit. Otherwise, nothing else yet. There may be some 1/87 of 1/72 stuff, but nothing 1/35 that I know of.

Jacques,

What exactly makes the Commander's T-10 just an okay kit?

In plastic it is still (and looks like will always) #1 on my wishlist.

DEF Models have an IS-4 conversion kit coming out by the fall (supposedly). The masters are shown on their website. There was supposed to be an IS-7 kit being mastered by Rest Models but not a peep for 6+ years.

Pictures of the DEF Models masters? I cannot find any pics of them on the website.

That is going to be one heck of a conversion for the Tamiya IS-3...

They loaded it back on their site, FYI.

I agree with Jacques on the T-10/IS8 from commanders. Not bad, looks like a T-10, but the quality is not the best. Alot of the smaller parts for the hull are just cast copies of either trumpeter's or tamiya's is3 and not the best copies either. Both the lower and upper hull plus the turret came in the mail broken....still waiting for replacements. The other big problem is the kit comes with no tracks, so you have to dig in the spares or order new tracks.
