I have that kit, but haven't built it yet.

You ended up with quite a bit of decal silvering. Might want to work on that for the next kit.

Also, the sandbags look too stiff, and the texture you gave them is overboard.

Thanks for the advice Jesse.
I was having trouble with the decals I used decal softener but it didn't seem to work very well. Also the sandbags are Not glued onto the Cromwell do I can just remove them.

Any additional advice on how to stop silvering of the decals?

Feedback is much appreciated as I've only been armor modelling for about a year.

Nick,

I am pretty new here too. I really liked the Cromwell, and we all have things to improve! The decals can be a challenge, but the best thing I have tried and read about is putting a good gloss coat on before you apply your decals. The silvering is from trapped air underneath. The gloss coat makes the surface smooth, so much easier to get any air underneath the decals out. Then you flat coat on top. Then weather to your hearts content. Easy to type, takes a lot of practice (at least for me) to get it all right!

Best of luck and thanks for sharing.

Regards,

John

On this page, you'll find a how-to on making epoxy sandbags.

Great Link.

Nice effort on the Cromwell as well, with only a year under your belt I think you can be very proud of it.

Cheers

Jeff
