I'll be building a Stryker ESV M1132 from Trumpeter for a campaign. Other than the wheels, are there any am parts that are correct for this model?

Yes sir! Eduard's photo etch upgrade stuff. Aftermarket .50 cal barrel. And that list can go on and on. But that would be a great start right there.

Rob,
Good luck with that build! I know scratch building that back slat armor on the ESV wasn't easy! You'll also have to modify the front left and right side slat sections in order for the plow to fully lift without the slat getting in the way! Good luck and send me questions if you got any!

Glad I am getting so many responses. Thanks guys. I have decided to do the slat armor(using eduard) and am wheels by Panzer Art. This is a budget build and I will only have a few months to complete it.

Just keep in mind that you will have to modify the slat armor in the back where the lane dispensers are at. You'll also need to modify the mounting bars in that particular area. Good luck, happy modeling and hope to see some progress soon!

It may have some useful information in it for you.
I need to get back on this build and finish it.

A few months to complete a slat armor-equipped Stryker! Good luck with that...
If you can pull it off, I'll eat my...cake

Libor: I'm prepared for the challenge.
Brent: Thanks for the link. I actually started that kit, but ran into some trouble with modifying the suspension.
Jim: I have 168 hours a week to build. Hope you like "cake".

Just remembered. I don't believe that Strykers had the slat armor in Astan. Will have to put that off until I build one from the Gulf war.

I think strykers don't have any slat armor in Afghanistan only in certain places.

Are any of the ESVs in Astan equiped with the M151 remote weapon station?

Jason, Thanks!
I may take you up on that offer.
I do wish you got subscribed to a thread automatically when you posted to it.
Cheers Rob.

I should recieve the Stryker in two weeks. I've also decided to go with Griffon's baskets for the AFV Club kit. I doubt there will be enough diference in dimensions to make it unusable on the Trumpeter kit. As well, I will be using ET Model's weighted armored wheel set, Voyager's rhino anti ied device, and AFV Club's anti reflection coating lens. I'll be doing a step-by-step in the Operation Afghanistan campaign here:

Does anybody know if the Strykers in Astan were equipped with a dozer blade?
