Well, the idea would be to make a diorama piece of cliff, where a wooden bridge would continue with the style of bridges over rail lines in the rest of the vegetation base. On the bridge there will be a Puma Italeri SdKfz 234-2 and some figures walking near the vehicle. Year of passing of the scene is mid-1944 - France.

For the base, made a kind of box and used a piece of plywood. I made the slope of Styrofoam and coated with plaster bandages. The soil was also made with bandages and after application of the sand, stone, grass. All painted, and the weathering done.

The photos:

Once dry, carve the piece of concrete that will form the basis for the bridge. I forgot to take pictures.
I put a little sand at the base and painted the ravine.

Initially I thought to make the railway line. But I gave up. I thought the bank would have to be much higher than it was, a train to pass underneath.

Well, that's it for now.
Hugs, Rodrigo

Thanks Brandi!

Now, some more pictures of the bridge (where it will be). I had to build one more piece of concrete to support for the bridge.

Hello everybody.
In recent days I was more focused on the development of armored. SdKfz 234-2 - PUMA.
Remains to finish it all. Another application of washing, dry brushes, pastels and finally the matte varnish to make it shine and also seal the decals and chalk.

Here are a few photos.

That is really some spectacular terrain work and the bridge is wonderful as well.
Can't wait to see that Puma and figures in the picture.

Yo Rodrigo,

That's a a hell of a build up for the diorama.

Damn good scratch work!

The groundwork is very nice...lots of details

I hope that there will be a water aspect...

Rodrigo,

Your work is awesome as usual. I really like the technique you used for the groundwork. And the Puma is superb too. How did you achieved that irregular surface effect?

Parabéns.

Cheers,

Pablo

Nico, thanks for your comment. This time there will be no water in this diorama.
The original intention was to make a railway line passing under this bridge, but would have to be much higher, then dropped the idea.

Hello Pablo, how are you my friend?
Thank you. Well, this aspect used a simple technique. to the base color of the whole vehicle I did the application of a layer of graphite and black ink. With the ink was almost dry I add a pinch of fine salt around the vehicle and there locas unde increased wear, as machinery, where the soldiers move constantly, etc.. Then I did the application of the color of the vehicle and then camouflage. After drying and subsidies days, wetting a toothbrush and was removing the salt (which dissolves in water). After I applied gloss varnish, put the decals, I did wash with three tones, dry brush, and a light matte varnish paint dust on the underside of the vehicle.

lol .... I think I told the whole process, but the basic principle is the use of salt.

Cheers,
Rodrigo

Now I put the missing figures. I would put some soldiers planting dynamite in the bottom of the bridge, to give a little more action at the bottom too. For the action of the diorama not only on the top.

Does anyone have a reference to how I can make dynamite?

Hugs,
Rodrigo

I totally concur with Bill on this.

Regarding your question, I think you should check google for "german pionier" or "german engineer". Miracle-maker Google throws some pretty interesting photo references regarding the subject. I rememeber having seen a picture of an enginnering detachment planting some mines on a stone brigde in France, howevere I was not able to find this image today. If I do I will PM.

Cheers, and keep us posted.

Hey Rodrigo, for some T.N.T., try some thin styrene rod. Find something thickness wise that will suit your need and length. Bundle a few together and add fuse lines to the ends that connect to a line fuse going to detenator. A small box with a (T) plunger or twist type handle and the 2 wires connected to it should do the trick. Paint them an appropiate color and there you go. There was a dio here on Armorama awhile ago of German sappers/enginers setting T.N.T. under a bridge but I have no idea how to find it. Hudson and Allen have a paper box set that has German supplies, and in the set are some friction primer box's. If you need one or two, p.m. me and I'll mail you a set.
Dio looks pretty well done all around, and ground work is nice.
