Don't know how many you're looking for Matt, but DML/Dragon has released a couple of figure or accessory kits that include the DsHk and are quite nice. Their Chicom AA kit comes to mind. for one.

Matt,

Mission Models carries the Armo one:

AR 35-502 DSzk.12,7 Soviet AA machine gun. Resin $5.00

I don't have the kit, I remember seeing a review for it somewhere on the net, but now I can't find it.

Hope this helped somewhat,
Chris

DML's "chinese Volunteer AAMG" set has a beautiful plastic DShK. Also, in resin there are kits from Verlinden (OOP but available from Ebay or swaps) and Armo. Also either Fruil or Model Point make a white metal DShK. the Verlinden and Fruil/MP guns are nice, I have them both, but they have about a gazillion parts, all of them microscopic it seems...I prefer the DML one myself.

That set is awesome. Besides being perfect WWII era Russians as well, the kit includes a Mosin Nagant 91/30, not too often found in other Russian WWII kits but one of the standard rifles of WWII.

Does the Arno DShk have the mount for an AFV, specifically the EE BRDM-1?

Hi,
if you mean DShK when you write .50 cal soviet MG so the Friul one is awesome and really worth the price.

If you mean modern MG like the NSVT fitting all the modern tanks then I can't help as I myself desperately try to find any reference either in resin or plastic to replace the oversized Dragon MG issued with their T72-T80 series.

cheers

There are 2 different kinds of DsHK :
- old style, OK for late WW2 (the friul model and I think nearly all Am models)
- the newer style, coming from the naval version of this machine gun, that you can find with the tamiya T55 kit !

Italeri's Modern SAM kit (OOP) has a DSHK along with SA-7 SAM. Some said their 25mm Bushmaster is incorrect though, so I'm not sure how accurate the DSHK is.

I had heard this before, but could never get a straight answer as to exactly what the difference is between the older and newer styles.

Please advise.

Out.

I don't know the differences teween WW2 and "modern" DShK but I can tell you that Friul has recently updated their kit.
So it's fully useful for the modern soviet/russian armor range.

And the kit is great !

cheers
