Yes

Looks like a SPARK roller to me...I believe the one in the last piture is a SPARK one as well, but maybe a later model

(the wheel attachment arms and the mudflap supports are different ).

Do you have any photos of the front of a M1132 with slat armor?

I like the second one. So are the cheerleaders an option or do they come with every stryker?

Frenchy, thanks for the pics. Do you have the last one in high resolution, too? (the one with the Cheerleaders)
We need some AM manufacturer to pick up on the MGS slat already. Scratch building in this complexity is beyond my skills, but assembling it from PE would be fine.

Just wondering, what is a SPARK roller? are there multiple types of mine rollers or so?
Thanks for the pics

Hi Boris
SPARK = Self-Protection Adaptive Roller Kit.
I'm no mine roller expert, but here are the models I know :
SPARK mine roller :

I believe the SPARK is closely related to the Light Weight Mine Roller (included in Trumpeter's M1132 kit). Both are made by Pearson.
SPARK II :
Panama City mine roller (USMC) :

Frenchy,
Fantastic photos! I know your the go to guy for photo, would you happen to have any of the Stryker ATGM M1134 in Afgan? I guess they are just not as common as other strykers.
Thanks

Johannes,
Please go over to eduard.com and let them know! I've already started a thread over there on MGS Slat. I've sent them a few emails in regards to it. But they say there's not enough demand for it. So if you let them know maybe they can get started on designing a set!!

I thought the ESV was equiped with the Pearson mine roller. Were they swapped for the SPARK when they deployed to Astan?

In the Flickr photo set which contains the first batch of pics shown by Frenchy I saw a photo of the new Double vee hull Stryker. Anymore photos of it?

From the photos posted here and a few I found during a quick search, the slat armor for the mgs appears to be the same as that for the icv.

Matt,
http://armorama.kitmaker.net/forums/194484&page=1From the side views, yes it does look like the same as the M1126, but it's completely different. Note the curved slat towards the middle of the MGS, its there so the turret has room to rotate while still providing some protecttion for the bottom portion of the turret. The one piece hanging armor plate is a different set up but the rest is all the same on every MGS.
Hope that helps.

Matt,
PLEASE send a product request for M1128 Slat armor to eduard. They dont think theres enough demand for it. Here's their email,
[email protected] Please please send it to them! I'm sure if we got enough people to do it that, then we'd have a slat armor set for the M1128!
