Holy crap!! That is one bad mamma jamma... Load up some beehive rounds for the main gun and you have one FINE crowd controller. Original idea and top notch execution.
Great job...

This campaign is the greatest. I have been able to get my evil little mind to go into overdrive.
Thanks for the kudos as always. And thanks for the blade Kevin I think it helps to make the model.l
By the way I had to brush paint this one. My air brush craped out on me. I bent the needle and I had to order a new on.

Animal,
M923 Guntruck is great. Keep the Guntrucks coming. I have been thinking of doing one I saw in a magazine of an M925 from 10th Mountain Div in Somalia in '93. We shall see.

The what if campaigns are the greatest. I only hope that we will have more in the future. You can let your imagination go wild and build something that you would think could work. Remember all great things began as a dream, then mock up, and then the real thing. So join the T2k Campaign and create!!

Thanks again for the kind words.
Kevin there are gun trucks being used today in the Phillipines, and in South America. They are building some gun trucks in Iraq also Not the Alabama Slammer as we have seen postede here, but in the form of a gun box simalar to the trucks we used in Vietnam. The support troops running the supply convoys are geeting a lot of heat from the bad guys. So they are having to find way s to protect themselves. The old gun tgrucks is part of the solutiuon.

I really would have liked to join in this Campaign, but since I've only been back into modeling for a few years now my model collection is not as it was. I just did not have the heart to meld a couple of kits kits together, neither from their boxes nor the spares bin.
I will continue to follow this Campaign though as the entrants produce their kits for viewing. That way, I'll really see what I missed out on.

well animal it seems you found a use for that old monstosity. I remember training on one of those. what a strange tank that was. . Got a future build of one of those for my M-60 collection. right now I'm finishing up my 60 round turret.. Don't know if I'll start on the CEV next or not.

Hey Animal, good to see such enthusiasm for the campaign...you will give Gennady and myself one heck of a run for our money!
I will/should be posting my own update on the TW2K stuff as well today, but I have not started painting yet...
oh, there will be the RED DAWN Campaign next year, and maybe a Red Storm Rising (based onthe Clancy Novel) one as well

Animal Dave - as always - great! It was nice to come back to the site and see such a wicked entry! You guys make the T2K Campaign great!
Yes - there will be a T2K 2004 Campaign!
Yes - I believe there is room for Red Dawn!
Yes - I think Red Storm Rising or The Sum of All Fears is a fantastic idea! Heck, we could just pick a Tom Clancy book once a year and go for it!
And Yes Kencelot - you are more than welcome to join in with the mayhem! I bet you already have plenty of models that fit into the world of Twilight: 2000. It isn't just for AFV models - could be anything!

Like I said before this type of building makes me feel like a kid again. I have been building so many models for my customers and they have to be historically correct and just like their own vehicles that to be able to build from ones imagination is a blast. #:-) I am lookiong forward to seeing all your pieces. I hope to have some progress shots or that Gun truck in Kuwait. soon. :-)
