Hi folks, jut finsihed of my latest Defender from Hobbyboss.
This vehicle is a 110 soft top as used by the Black watch while they patroled the City of Basra in 2003 during early OP Telic.
The Regiment stripped down there 110 soft tops by removing the canvas tilt, the rear tail gate and the door tops.
The regiment even went as far as having there troops remove there helmets in a softly softly approach to the people of Basra.

Thanks,i agree i love these defender kits and have my next 2 hard tops on order. One will be a Royal Engineers EOD vehicle with the front wings painted Red and the second will be a gloss red one as used by the RAF fire service as i managed to find a cracking picture of one on duty at Fairford this month.

I used Tamiya Nato Green and Nato Black on this one,but some times use Tamiya Field Grey XF65 although it says grey it is a green which is not a bad match for modern British vehicles. I saw pictures of these Rovers in Concords Victory in Iraq book and thought it was something from the normal WMIK,s and hardtops.
Thanks Neil
