Tom looks good. My two cents would be more dust and grime. Dirty it up a bit. But that's just me. . . .Nice diorama, well constructed and laid out. Cheers.

I agree. I'll follow along just because it is too interesting not to see it finished.

Looks good, interesting project!
Why does the Toyota stand like this? AShouldn't he be straight? To explain the situation you could perhaps put a cone or something on the street who shows where the Toyota is forced to drive like that (just on the border of the dio)

Hey Tom, looks good. I agree with the dirty it up some comment. Maybe some dust and dead plants along the road, looks too manacured. Maybe some cans/bottles strewn around or news papers blowing. Some ground dust along the bottom of the building would blend it in nicely. Claude, the barricades make you turn from each lane to the entry between the barriers. Maybe some slanted white strips or arrows pointing towards the opening on the barricades and the famous orange cones would add some color and better direction to it. The one thing that jumped out to me was the civilians look like they are barefoot. Pretty darn hot to do that on blacktop. Besides the stated, the only thing I would add might be a K-9 dog with one of the guards. But all in all, I really like this one. Good story and to the point, no guessing needed. Nice job all around.

Thanks guys,
I'm going to try and get back at it today.
Great suggestions Bob.Dirt and garbage was always part of the plan.Your point about the barefeet makes complete sense.I really wanted the cones, but right now I have none left and will have to order some.I wish someone would make a set of nothig but them.As for the K9,there is one in the back of the Humvee though the photos don't show him very well.I do have another one on the shelf and will probably add it.Update soon.

Hi Guys,
Here's the updated version.
Sandals on barefeet, extra K9,more garbage and weathering on the pavement.I also broke down and added a couple of cones I had to take off other vehicles.
See what you think?

Nicer, love the trash. Can't go anywhere without seeing it around. Kind of like a, I was here from mankind. K-9 is perfect, good to have him approch from back like it is sniffing for explosives or such. Just went up another notch on the I like factor. Almost forgot, love the signs on the guard shack. Guess it's open for 24 hour service. One more suggestion, drill out the lug nut holes in the tire leaning against the guard shack.

I agree, it looks much better. Very nice.
Yup, also the center of the wheel. It should look like this.
Keep up the good work.

The guy in the back of the truck looks very much like an insurgent.

Gino,
I didn't find them.I was hoping for the release, but too impatient. The mother & daughter are Verlinden, the young boy is MB insurgents and the father I scratched from parts and putty.
Matt,
He is an insurgent from the first Meng pickup. That is why I needed enough people to fill the truck. My reasoning being he was using the chair to ride in the back and with sand and dust he needed to cover his face.Being just pulled over I wanted a guard asking him to remove it.
That's my story and I'm sticking to it.

Good job with the figures then. I am hoping the Meng figures eventually come out too. They look pretty good.
