Fred Boucher's review of the vintage Revell V2 missile is a walk down memory lane for modelers who have have never seen this model, and wonder whether to spend hobby cash on it.

It is interesting to see the detail Revell were willing to put inside this model from the early days of injection moulded plastic models but 1/69th scale is a real oddity.

Hi Fred,
What a wonderful trip to my past! I built this kit in the early 70s, back when it was moulded in light grey. I was amazed at the time with the "working" erector complete with pistons. (And even more amazed that I didn't glue it up solid...) Scale is odd, but back then odd scales were common enough, and didn't bother a kid who wanted to play with his models after they were built. I'd like to see one souped-up to today's contest standards!

It IS surprising this one hasn't been re-issued.

This model has been reissued several times. Even in other countries like in Mexico. However, as far as I know today (July 17,2014) no company is injecting this beautiful model. If you want one, the best bet is Ebay. There are always several on sale some expensive, some very cheap.
