lookin' nice so far -- don't forget to change the front mudguards (square T34/85 ones or flat Egyptain diamond-plate mods), thin the lift-hooks & open the top hatch for a commander figure or let some fresh air into the turret.
I'm doing the same vehicle in 1/35th, along with the T-34/100 & a Cuban T-34-122.

Whoah Woschti! That certainly is a beast! Had to be scary looking across the battlefield at it! I'm gonna have to invest in the Black Dog conversion, 'cause i gotta have one of those! Looking forward to your progress and finish!

I'm doing a 1/35th one from Navigator (Marquette chassis) - the turret is a sold block of resin.
Accurate Armour & AEF also do turrets which are fully opened up with interior & the side-panels seperate so you can model the vehicle as it was used - as a "stand-off" SPG or closed up as if in the thick of action ----- cost about $120 for the turret.
The wheels on these were usually the T-54/55 starfish ones so for a base vehicle get the DML T-34/85 that has those.

Hello Jamyes,
i use this one:

I had to cut something from it and the intake barell does not fit exactly on my model.

What an interesting monster.

You are doing it justice and it should be quite an eye catcher.

This was my build of the same vehicle about 15 years ago. The turret is scratchbuilt but I did update the gun with RB. The pic(s) you see here was from the 2012 IPMS show in Orlando. Press the 'photo' button and hopefully the pics show up.

Hi John,
what kit do you use? Revell, Dragon or Trumpeter? The T34/100 is from MW or scratch?
Nice built. Hope my one will be finish some day like yours.

The base kit(s) for both are the 1/35 Tamiya T-34/43. Going back at least 15 years in building these two vehicles, Tamiya was the only game in town with any significant detail. I had the privilege of military service as aircrew and got to see both vehicles in person...took a few photos, then scratchbuilt both turrets...there were no kits of either vehicle back then. Currently, and concurrently, I'm working on a T-34 ARV (Afghan), SU-100 (Egyption), and the T-34/100 (Syrian)...the vehicle with the 100mm gun mated to the T-34 at the front of the vehicle on a welded platform over the drivers' hatch.

Thanks a lot for that link, John... I never knew they did these two conversions.
Why is it too late for you?

If possible, I'd go for the AEF /122 turret, as even though it's usual AEF quality, it's the only one that I know of that has interior detail and can be opened up (the AA one is a solid block of resin).
I'm currently working on this using the AEF kit, the /100 version with turret from AA (with nice interior detail

) and the open turret version using a heavily reworked AEF set

The other 3 photos within my file are the 3 currently being worked on...once again, an Afghan ARV, Egyptian SU100, and a Syrian D100 SPG.
