I really love LVTs. Therefore I was really happy to hear, that AFV will release LVT-4 kit with drivers comparatnt. So there it is…
I hope that AFV will release all family of LVTs… The model will have an Okinawa painting (3 colors). I will replace MGs with MGs from RB Model and probably I will buy Fruil tracks. The load will be probably Willys from Tamiya.
At this point kit seems to be perfect when you compare it to real photos. Only 2-3 wires are missing in the driver’s compartment. Apart from this I see no errors. Of course if anybody knows more I’d be pleased to get this information in order to correct the kit. So that’s all for now.
btw were there any differences in Willys used in Pacific Theatre?

I recently built the late version and found it to be a very good and accurate kit. You can see my build article here:

I'm not familiar enough with the vehicle to know of any particular differences between Pacific and ETO usage.

Rather than Fruils, I would consider:
Click2details track:

or AFV Clubs new tracks:

The AFV Club ones are just out and appear to consist of multiple parts for each link, so could be a little tedious to assemble however the results look good
On the other hand, the Click2details part modeled in sections so are far easier to assemble onto the drawing, however they are twice the price of the AFV Club. As for the others, the Fruil ones look heavy and the Voyagermodels ones would redefine the tedious.

Personally, I have set of Click2details and will get some AFV club parts.
