From what I recall, the soil is much more reddish in color. Very nicely done otherwise. The sandbags are excellent and the night lights are a great touch.

Hey Prasert, I like it very much. Nice light job. Does seem a bit drab, could be the lighting you shot under but it seems to need a bit of green growth around the stuctures, weeds poking about. My only nit-pick is pic's #3 & #5, top of the roof peak on the facer board. Should be cut at an angle to close up the gap; keeps out water and bugs. If it's too late or hard to fix, then maybe a sign or plaque for the unit there or something. Maybe even a metal plate with an over head light to cover/fill it up. The power/phone lines make it busy and conect it all together. Are you going to be adding figures and or a small vehical to this nice base? This is one of your best yet, keep up the great work. Really captures the mood of being there from the pic's I've seen.

Quite impressive!! The sandbags on the tower are excellent! Overall, outstanding! The only thing I can criticize is that the sandbags around the hut seem to be all the same size. Even that doesn't take away too much from your build.

Very good work. There was a very well known ESSO station in Hue. It was like a crossroads in that part of the city, a lot of fighting around it. I have seen some pictures of US/ARVN forces and VC/NVA forces crossing that road.
The first Dio too looks wonderful. I'm not sure about the colors though. It could be the camera. Sandbags were a certain color depending on which ones, I'm still doing research on them. Some where a stark bright green(those where the ones we used when I was in) when new and stayed that way. I think the older ones where canvas maybe and looked more brown or Khaki.
The soil is definitely much more red. Everything had that yellow dust on it, the red soil turned yellowish/red/brown when really dry. So everything was red when wet and dusty yellow when dry or a bit of both. It was everywhere and in everything, on everything, in your underwear, boots, weapons, in the grain of wood and any nook and cranny.

Great work, Prasert. Will you add figures?

Hi Prasert.
You captured the base very nicely. All it needs now is some weeds and signs of life. Any further plans for this?

Many thanks to all latest messages.
Jim Frank and Bill.
Can not do anything to this diorama because already sold to my customer. I will ask him to sent me a photo after he has complete the M113, Jeep, and figures. If possible I will show the complete set again. Many thanks again to all messages from everyone. Sorry again about my English.
