Anyone else notice the pic of a new USMC M1114 Humvee conversion from PSM on their little advert on this site!? I couldn't see anything on their own site or any larger pictures, but it sure looks intriguing.

I see the "teaser," Rob, and its says "coming soon." I'm sure Gerold will have a great little set, but I, too, could find nothing on their website about it at this point.

A little bird told me that they have some goodies in the pipeline, so I'm keeping my fingers crossed that we'll know something soon.

Hi,great conversion, psm does top notch products so I'm sure this will be a great set.
Just a question:
Do you will add an USMC turret gunshield?!It's really different from the one that is on the photo.
I know that the combination is possibile(as in photos)but USMC has their own way to uograde their Humvee.

Regards
Ciro

Hey Ciro,
nope, the MCTAGS turret and shield won't be included, maybe there'll be something coming in the future but definitely not with this kit.
I tried getting my hands on some useful references (like measurements...) but by the time the master was finished nothing useful had turned up... that thing is really hard to scratch build properly, believe me;)
however, the field-mod turrets like the one included in the kit are quite a common sight to these kind of HMMWV's, esp. since, afaik, the armor package had already been fielded before the turret first showed up...

Chris, dead on...

Cheers, Max

Hi Max,
thank you for the reply,I know that the MCTAGS is really difficult to realize,I'm happy that this conversion will be on the market and for sure I'll get one, maybe two....I really hope that PSM goes along this direction with other set for Humvee and also with the Boxer!

Cheers

hey Marcel,
yeah, the plate below the air vent is demountable, when removed it reveals the standard M1114 chassis armor, we chose not to depict that in the kit as it would've been too much effort for the modeller to propably align the parts then, if you want to depict that part removed just cut out the portion from the conversion and replace it with the corresponding part from the base kit

you'll find loads of pics in DVIDS, marines.mil and defenseimagery.mil

Cheers, Max
