I am building the Tamiya SAS Pink Panther Land Rover, I have painted the pink paint scheme with acrylics and chipped the model. I am ready to weather the model and am applying a coat of future and I have all these weathering products from AK and MIG. Should I apply a filter and which color if anything, they don't make filters for pink, I have for Afrika Korps and allied filters but they are meant for yellow and green vehicles. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated
Also with the pink color should I use a dark wash or Neutral wash
Sorry for all the questions but I am a weathering virgin and don't want to screw up this model, I do want it to have a nice weathered look like the big boys but think I need some help with my first step
Thanks
Angelo

Hello Angelo and welcome to Armorama! British desert pink certainly presents finishing and weathering challenges! Filters do not have to match the base color, they just have to tint it. You want to apply filters to certain panels or areas to vary the tones of the pink very very slightly. It would be best to paint a sheet of plastic or an old model pink, then apply each filter and observe the effect. Use the filters you like.
I would suggest a neutral wash, grey, followed by some AK Africa dust effects and some sand pigments to dust it up.
