Hello all, I'm new here. Used to model heavily in my teens and am resuming now in 1/72 scale as a middle ager. Also very big in N scale model railroading, but wanted to take a little detour for a bit.
I'm working primarily on armor and softskins and will eventually have to muster up the courage to tackle some braille figures, but I'm wondering what's up with all the figures with the bases on them? Do you cut them off, decorate or hide them when using them for dioramas? What better figures are available without attached bases? Most of the figs I've seen have great detail, but the bases ruin the realism for me.

Hey William, just cut them off. Trying to hide them is a P.I.T.A. and usually looks like something is hidden. I don't do 1/72nd but there are some of them out there as seen on the site here. Hopefully someone will be able to show you a site where they are available. Welcome back to the world of scaled insanity.
